Prudential RideLondon have been in contact as they are looking for volunteers to help with this year’s events. If you think your residents may be interested in getting involved I would be most grateful if you could pass on this information. They have also supplied a poster which I attach and some text you may wish to use which is in blue below.
There is also a competition to win a top of the range carbon Verenti bike.
Prudential RideLondon is into its 3rd year and this year’s event is bigger & better. On Sunday 2 August, approximately 27,000 riders will participate in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, cycling 100 miles from the start in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, out into Surrey and then back to London to a spectacular finish on the Mall. Finally, 150 of the world’s top professional cyclists – including our own Mark Cavendish – will race on an extended route from QEOP, out into Surrey and back to London and The Mall in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic.
Prudential RideLondon is looking for people to get involved in a variety of roles from being a yellow flag marshal for the professional race to handing out spectator guides & ensuring the safety of both riders and spectators alike.
Volunteers can choose a shift location and time at www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/volunteers. Training is also provided and a suitable date can be chosen on the website.
All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, cap, water bottle, bag and lunch – and the chance to be involved in something amazing.
